Episode 292
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast! This week I have guest Cheryl Fisher, a certified life coach and host of the OMG Teach Me podcast. The conversation revolves around Cheryl's journey from being a teacher to discovering the power of mindset work through a direct selling business. Cheryl shares how understanding and applying mindset principles transformed her life, leading her to start a podcast to share these lessons with others. She discusses the importance of self-kindness, avoiding self-sabotage, and being the 'leading lady' in one's own life. Cheryl also talks about her upcoming two-day virtual masterclass on 'How to Stop Being Your Own Worst Enemy,' where she aims to help participants overcome self-defeating thought patterns and embrace a more positive mindset.
Episode 291
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast! Hello from the quiet woods of Richmond, Virginia! We are really enjoying our time here, and there is so much beauty and wonder that can be found when one is open to being surprised. Last night Robbie and I took Rosa on a walk and witnessed a magical display of synchronized fireflies.
I am planning to walk the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain in May, however it just occurred to me that I don’t have to wait until the actual pilgrimage to embody the mindset and principles of a pilgrim. I’ve decided to start living like a pilgrim now, embracing the journey, rituals, and transformative experiences that the Camino represents. I encourage you to apply this idea to your own life, embodying the identities, beliefs, and lifestyles you aspire to, rather than waiting for a specific goal or experience.
Episode 290
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast! It has been an adjustment period full of life changes. Moving from Mexico to a remote area in Virginia has been a lot. I want to explore the idea that the desire for control often stems from a lack of self-trust and the belief that you can’t handle uncertainty or unexpected situations. To help this, we must cultivate self-trust by gradually exposing ourselves to challenging situations and realizing that we can cope with the outcomes.
As always, this is a great place to practice self-compassion and acknowledge our emotions, particularly when facing disappointments or pivoting from plans. In that spirit, I will soon be launching 'Brave and Unreasonable Life,' which aims to help individuals pursue ambitious goals while embracing setbacks and rejections as temporary delays rather than denials.
Episode 289
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast. This week I am so excited to be joined by friend and colleague Tanisha Naughton. Tanish empowers busy working women struggling with burnout to overcome feelings of shame and guilt through my self-love retreats and play. Through her guidance, they find joy, release stress, and rediscover their authentic selves, leading to a more balanced and fulfilling life.
In our conversation Tanisha shares her personal journey of helping her mother overcome diabetes through a vegan and alkaline diet, which inspired her to pursue holistic health coaching. She discusses her experience with burnout while working in the corporate and social work fields, and how she now helps busy working women overcome burnout and rediscover self-love through retreats focused on play, rest, and holistic practices. Tanisha emphasizes the importance of incorporating play and joy into daily life as an antidote to burnout. She provides details about her upcoming 'Cosmic Self-Love Playground' retreat, designed to help women unleash their inner goddess through activities like cooking, herbal classes, art therapy, and community bonding. Sign up for Tanisha’s retreat below, and follow her on social media.
Episode 288
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast. We are getting ready to leave San Miguel de Allende, and I’ve spent time reflecting on the incredible experiences and lessons learned while living here. It’s bittersweet to be leaving this vibrant city and I’ve found such appreciation for the local culture and celebration it has.
On another note, I want to disucss a perspective of luck, coincidence, and the natural ebb and flow of life. Long story short, I encourage you to trust the divine timing of things and not take setbacks personally. I am working on rebranding the podcast and will be taking some time to reimagine it.
Thank you for joining me this week, and please make sure to subscribe where you listen to podcasts.
Episode 287
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast. This week is full of duality for me, after a successful speaking event last week, I felt so confident and proud on stage. However I’m struggling with grief after losing Soso 12 weeks ago.
Grief is not linear, and it’s important to trust your body, as well as the healing processes. In this episode I share a heartfelt journal entry about feeling broken but finding strength and depth in love and loss.
In light of this, I have plans to rebrand the podcast, focusing on themes of bravery, courage, and doing things despite fear. The lessons that grief can teach us are right there.
Episode 286
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast. It’s our last 3 weeks in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico! I will be giving a speech and creating a speaker reel in the remaining time we have here in San Miguel. It’s taken a ton of bravery to keep pushing this forward, but I have learned some lessons throughout the process of preparing for these events.
First, the importance of self-trust, and pushing oneself outside of one's comfort zone. Confronting fears and doubts, recognizing irrational thoughts, offering self-compassion, and understanding that bravery is momentary. Creating opportunities for yourself, don’t wait for them, embrace imperfection and keep an open channel for your unique expression.
Episode 285
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast. Hello again from the very warm San Miguel, Mexico. I have had multiple bouts of food poisoning while here, but I’m really excited about a couple of upcoming speaking events in local theaters. I’ve struggled with public speaking in the past, but I’ve learned to cope with it over the years.
Today I want to talk adopting a new outlook on life, I was inspired by a client's experience of awe and gratitude during an eclipse. The idea of recognizing that we already has everything we want and need, and I encourage you to challenge the notion that constantly wanting more is necessary or beneficial.
Episode 284
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast, and hello again from San Miguel, Mexico! This week I would love to talk about being kind when setting boundaries or making disruptive change, kind to both yourself and others.
When Robbie and I decided to elope we had a lot of pushback from family members. The biggest lesson we took for it was to communicate honestly but with kindness. It’s important to accept people for who they are, and prioritize one's own well-being without resentment. I encourage you to reflect on why they want others to change and to take responsibility for your disappointment when they aren’t able to, or unwilling.
Episode 283
Hello Worthy Warriors, and welcome back to the podcast! Before we jump into this weeks topic, we are looking for a home for out foster dog Rosa. She’s the sweetest girl, who loves other dogs, and people so much. She would make a wonderful companion. SO if you know of someone who might be interested in adopting Rosa, please send them my information. I can’t wait to see her go to a kind and loving home.
This week, let’s chat about the concept of consistency. I have a story, and acknowledge that I struggle with being consistent, particularly on social media. The story says that because of social media inconsistency I can’t get to the next level of success. I see those I follow and look up share their lives, and view them as being consistent. However, I realize they are consistent in the perfection, not in be open and vulnerable about their life.
I encourage you to question your own perceptions of consistency and to align it with your values and desired life. I value the vulnerability, authenticity, and not resisting life's flow over the consistency. If you could use a community to discuss topics like this, or vent to, I encourage you to join Doing it Scared, a low-cost membership program and find your supportive community.
Episode 282
Hello Worthy Warriors! Welcome back to the Worthiness Mindset Podcast! This week I would love to share with you all that I am feeling stuck. We have 2 months left in Mexico, and have been trying to decide what to do next after living in Mexico for 4 months. This feeling is being fed by decision fatigue, grief, expectations not matching reality, fear, doubt and of course, the noise in my head.
If you’re feeling the same way please remember self-compassion and allowing yourself to acknowledge the thoughts without making yourself wrong is crucial in these phases of life. Some techniques I teach and use for myself to start moving forward include following your sparks of joy, taking small actions aligned with what excites you, and trusting the process. In honor of taking small action I have finally created a speaking tour, something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time. I encourage you to to reach out and let me know if you would like me to speak in your city or if you know of event planners to connect me with.
Episode 281
Hello Worthy Warriors! Happy Thursday, and welcome back from San Miguel, Mexico! Our time here is coming to quick close, and we have been thinking about what comes next. Our options are endless, and yet we have to be wary of overwhelm. Remember, the grass isn’t greener, there are just different weeds.
Last week I was teaching a workshop for International Women’s Day, and I wanted to highlight famous role models. I realized that they all felt self-doubt, yet focused on of trying and failing instead of perfection. In turn they leaned into fear and rejection and inspired others (like you and I) by showing up authentically.
Maya Angelou, one of the most decorated and prolific writers of our time, had immense doubt in her craft, and yet we admire people more for their courage through failures than their outcomes.
Fear and rejection mean we are being courageous.

Episode 280
Hello Worthy Warriors! Welcome back to our regularly scheduled programming at the Worthiness Mindset Podcast! I am back from a short hiatus, and am so happy to be recording again. I took a break to focus on grieving and self-care, because I’ve struggled with the loss of Soso, the euthanization of shelter dogs, and my foster dog's cancer diagnosis, rental issues, illness, and food poisoning.
Despite feeling scared I’ve decided to meet myself with exceptional grace, compassion and kindness during the challenges. This allowed me to build deeper connections with friends and family. I’ve realized that I can feel not okay and still be brave by authentically showing up. Brave means choosing how to meet oneself and reveal hidden struggles, not specific outcomes.
I hope this message helps you feel more comfortable sharing your hidden struggles that can lead to deeper relationships and greater impact.
Episode 279
Hello Worthy Warriors! Welcome back to the Worthiness Mindset Podcast! This week, we have replay of an episode with Nikki Bannister, Nikki talks about dropping the ball or falling short in her world. She highlights failures that impact others, and how she navigates letting someone else down. She also shares how she’s allowed failure to not shake her to her core.
With this series I'll be interviewing people who have experienced failure, and found ways to love themselves anyway. Included will be a profound movement to write ourselves a love letter. This project has been on hold through some of my failure, and now I'll be compiling a book of love letters from people loving themselves through the unsuccessful.
Episode 278
Hello Worthy Warriors, and happy Thursday. On the pod this week, we have replay of an episode with my good friend, Rose! Rose goes into detail about where she has failed, and how she's loved herself through it all! She shares how important it is to accept that you are going to be a failure, but finding a way to be empowered through the failure really changes the game.

Episode 277
Hello Worthy Warriors, happy Thursday. We’re going to change gears for a bit here, and share a series replay from 2021 about Failure & Self love. This series creates space to talk about and normalize failure, and finding self-love through it all. Failure is the greatest catalyst to learning how to love ourselves and to not define our worth through our achievements and accomplishments.

Episode 276
Hello Worthy Warriors, happy Thursday. It has been a difficult week here. For those of you who don’t follow me elsewhere, my soulmate Soso passed away last week. As devastating as it is, I realize that the grief is only a testament to how much I loved her, and is a part of fully experiencing life. When we’re able to see our own bravery and unreasonable joy demonstrated it’s only a lighthouse for bringing our awareness back to that space when it’s needed. Soso's incredibly adventurous life over 9 years spanning 4 countries and 35 states, despite the trauma she’d experienced, just shows her persistence, flexibility, and lack of fear. Soso was an inspiration to everyone who met her and spent time with her.
I want to call on my listeners to reflect on their bravery, be unreasonable in pursuing passions without fear or limits, and donate to an animal shelter in Soso's memory. I am looking to raise $300 to save a dog's life. I volunteer at a high-kill shelter here in Mexico with Yo Amo Animalitos (on FB) and it costs about $300 to save a dog's life. The dog I am looking to save is name Frida. She is about 2.5 years old, and just had puppies. One died and one is being sent to Colorado to a sanctuary. For two weeks, she wouldn't come out of her cage, she was abused and frightened. She's been in there about 4 weeks (2 weeks longer than they normally allow them to live). She has come out of her shell, wants belly rubs, and to be next to you. She is sweet & kind and we are looking to foster her until we find her forever home. I'm using this workshop as a way to fundraise. Donate and sign up here.
If you donate, I will send you updates on Frida and the ways you can help the other dogs in the shelter.
Episode 275
Hello Worthy Warriors! This week we’ll continue on the series to create a Brave & Unreasonable Life. This episode builds on part one about dreaming without attachment by focusing on building self-concept and self-trust as crucial foundations before taking action. I will walk you through a 4-step system to build trust in yourself. The process includes examining past evidence of follow-through, making small daily commitments, seeing accomplishments created, and noticing what is already desired.
When we cultivate a hypothetical 'what if it were possible' self-concept to reinforce that big dreams can happen, and remove our limiting beliefs. If this series is helpful for you, I will be holding a workshop on creating a brave life at a low cost. If you’re interested, fill out the form here.
My friend Autumn is trying to sell 1000 books this month, and, as a guest of the podcast, I think you would love it. Buy Autumn’s book here!
Episode 274
Hello Worthy Warriors! Happy Thursday! I’m passionate about speaking to others about how to live a brave and unreasonable life, and so I thought we would start a little series. This is my way of life. And part of that is by doing it scared, right? If you wanna live a brave and unreasonable life, you have to start by doing it scared.
The key to living this kind of life is taking steps to feel safe in your body. This alone will allow you to dream without limits or logic. By visualizing your desired outcomes, calming your nervous system, identifying the feelings behind your dreams, and being willing to pivot if needed you’re setting the stage for a healed and unimaginable future.
Episode 273
Hello Worthy Warriors! Happy Thursday! We are spoiled with guests lately, and my friend Autumn Freed is no exception. Autumn recently started her own business as a book writing coach, but she’s more like a life coach and writing coach all rolled into 1. Autumn loves helping people figure out how to write their story or tell a story, but more than anything, to help people feel fulfilled in their lives. She knows all too well how it feels to not even know what you like anymore. Her favorite part is helping women decide what they want, and then watching them make it happen.
In this week’s conversation, we’ll discuss common reasons people don't write books, strategies to push past blocks, the importance of focusing on reader value versus original ideas, and how Autumn overcame her resistance by borrowing others' belief in her abilities. Autumn outlines her coaching services and emphasizes that everyone has a unique story worth sharing that could help others.
